After an awful outing on Nye and Street earlier in the year, we returned to the peaks, however this time on marked ATIS trails.  This hike was the longest and required the most climbing of any so far.  We began near the AuSable Club and within a short distance departed from Lake Road and began our ascent up toward the Wolf Jaws.  The weather was beautiful for most of the day, allowing us to make our way to Gothics quite easily.  On the way down Gothics, it began to get dark, however it was still the middle of the afternoon.  Before long we were in the middle of a thunderstorm.  A couple of hikers we met along the trail gave us some ponchos to protect us from the downpour.  Despite the rain, we pushed on and made the summit of Sawteeth.  It was a great hike, but the storm I'll always remember .

There are no pictures from this hike, however there are others from later hikes of these same mountains.
