the hike....

after climbing esther and whiteface the previous day, we slept in the truck and got an early start for this one.  we began at adirondack loj and followed the trail to algonquin.  we first climbed wright.  the view to algonquin was the best we had seen so far.  next we climbed algonquin, where jeff relied on putting quarters into the mountain in order to keep going.  after the tough climb up algonquin, the rest of the trip was easy.  the views were spectacular in all directions...
