June 2, 1987This was our second hike of the second season. Like the previous week, we began near the AuSable Club and walked along most of Lake Road before beginning our ascent. The hike beside Gill Brook is perhaps more notable than the views from either Colvin or Blake. These peaks were named after Verplanck Colvin and Mills Blake. If you are unfamiliar with these men, pick up a book before your next hike.
